About Darreck Chen
I have been addicted to the computer since the age of 12 when I had my first 386 processor PC and a personal computer tutor to boot, pardon the pun. I went on to create my first animated flash on my personal website in 1998, and that got me a distinction credit in university. For my final year university examination, I won first prize with a website I designed for a winery, amongst my other achievements. Eversince then, the internet became a very important part of my life after school.
When I joined the rat race, my first job had been a junior web designer. From there I progressed to become a senior web designer, to webmaster and as project managers for various endeavours of the companies I was working for and also for my own personal clients, when I branched out on my own.
In the last 15 years, the internet became an integral part of me and my life. It was my life and my work. Risking to become an internet junkie, I am also very glad that it had also opened up a whole new world for me. I discovered the amazing world of new age, spirituality and healing works. I learnt about meditation, yoga, energy healing, Reiki, Spiritual Response Therapy and many others.
In 2007, I decided to quit my fulltime internet related work and founded, Lightworks, a new age centre in the heart of Kuala Lumpur with a business partner. I have since had the blessings to explore many other wonderful opportunities in this exciting world I live in. I am now a full time Spiritual Response Therapy teacher. I am constantly awed by what I am able to continuously explore and deepen my knowledge of myself and things around me.
I am humbled by these great opportunities and blessings in the many amazing individuals and teachers I have come to know and had learnt from.
At the same time, I have also continued to keep abreast with the wonderful world of the internet. To me it is a most powerful tool at this age and time. Unfortunately, I realised not many lightworkers understood nor realize fully the power of the internet in the promotion and sharing of their work to the far reaching corners of the world.
Thus, I hope to share in this blog about my own experiences and successes then and now. I will share about the many ways I am able to use the internet for the benefits of what I do, especially in the area of the healing and teaching works that I am doing now. I hope by doing so, I am able to help a lightworker out there to not only market a business successfully but also perhaps opening up a new opportunity for extra income and earnings.
