Why Lightworker Need a Domain Name and how to Promote Yourself with it?

Domain Name like www.darreckchen.com is a name to represent yourself or your business, if you are selling yourself; for example, a Reiki practitioner Yoga teacher or healer etc, for the marketing and branding purpose, then i will suggest to put your name instead of something generic like reiki-healing.com.

Why?

First, you wouldn’t be able to get such generic name in the market and most of it has been taken by someone else.

Secondly, we are talking about personal branding here, there are couple of thousands Reiki practitioner, yoga teacher, healer, psychics and teacher out there, so how do you stand out from the rest?

By Personal Branding. You are selling yourself, your knowledge, your wisdom, your abilities, not selling tools.

Everyone have the tools but how you use the tools are entirely depends on yourself. Everyone can be a yoga teacher, meditation facilitator, Reiki Healer etc, what make the different is their capabilities and how unique of them by using the “tool”.

Which Domain Extension should i choose?

First priority is .com

Second Priority is .net

If you are targeting local country customer you may also consider to get a local domain extension, (something like .com.my, .com.sg, .co.uk, .com.au) but usually it is more expensive and you might need a company to register it.
