Should I use Google AdSence in My Website?

Now, you have a web site or blog, and you are wondering… should i use Google AdSense to earn extra income?

For my opinion, no matter your site is new or old, if your daily traffic less than 50 visitors a day, don’t bother to implement any form of ads link including Google AdSense.

Why?

1^st, your site will not have enough hits to generate sufficient page impressions and click through rates, if your site average have 30 visitors a day (hopefully), maybe 1 or 2 visitors will interested to click on the ads links.

So.. 2 CTR x 30 days = 60 hits a month

Google average estimate payout is around $0.15 per click, so if your site average have 60 hits, you  get $0.15 x 60 hits = $9 (USD) per month.

Above  just a simple calculation formats, Google AdSense calculation are more complicated then that, what i am trying to tell you is less site traffic are not worthwhile to try out to place ads in your site.

Here’s the format from Google AdSense

Effective CPM doesn’t represent how much you have actually earned – rather, it’s calculated by dividing your estimated earnings by the number of page impressions, then multiplying by 1,000. For example, if you earned an estimated $0.15 from 25 page impressions, then your page eCPM would equal ($0.15 / 25) * 1,000, or $6.00. If you earned an estimated $180 from 45,000 ad impressions, your ad eCPM would equal ($180 / 45,000) * 1,000 or $4.00.

For reality, most of the Lightworker Site are less then 10 visitor a day.

So.. in a way, it is not so sufficient to exchange your personal healing site content with advertisement links around.

So.. does it mean it is a No No for my blog or website?

Unless you have building up site content traffics with more than 50 visitors a day plus more than  2% of click through rates, then it is worthwhile to try out ads like Google AdSence.

What about i become advertiser to promote my website with Goggle Adsence?

Unless you are budgeting $100  /month to promote your site, and you have a strong web site content and healing modalities to attract your prospect client come back to your site again, else i will not suggest to use your money to promote your site.

For Lightworker Blog or Website, it is better ideas to keep your site clean and building up strong content.

Which Blog Hosted Platform Should I Choose? Blogger, Wordpress or Typepad?

Firstly, what is Blog Hosted Platform?

They are Blog solution providers that design in away to allow you to host your blog in their server, so you don’t need to host your own blog scripts in your website.

Blogger (Blogspot), Wordpress and Typepad.

Which one suitable for Lightworker?

Blogger

Blogger or called Blogspot, is one of the most popular Blogging tool now.

Why? Because it is free. If you are totally new to blogging, and just want to blog for learning and leisure, choose this one.

Pros: Free, Easy to use, good for those who want to learn how to blogging.

Cons: Less Professional, in term of features, SEO, customization and design templates wise.

Wordpress

This provider getting more popular now, they have tons of plugins, widgets, blog design templates are totally free for use, all are mostly contributed by user.

I like the administration interface, it clean and easy to navigate.

Their Blog service is free, but you can pay extra to add-on additional features.

When you are using free version, Wordpress might sometimes display their advertisements in your blog page, and you can’t put your own ads in it. So if you think you don’t need to earn some cash from Google Adsense or other advertisement media company, then it shouldn’t be any problem for you.

If you decided want to add-on more features to your blog, you can pay extra to do so. That’s mean it is more flexible in a way if you want to get your blog a little more professional.

What you can add-on to your blog?

Your domain name, if you  want to be more professional, you can add-on or link up your existing domain name with wordpress, which mean you have your own name display for your blog.

For example, www.darreckchen.com instead of darreckchen.woprdpress.com

You can add additional space storage, You can add 5, 15, or 25 gigabytes to your blog, so you’ll have room for your  photos, videos, and music.

Not happy about the look and feel of your blog site? Pay extra to add the CSS customize features to get personal touch, but this one you need to know about CSS design language.

If you think that Youtube quality not good enough, or you want to host your private video for your customer, you can opt for the video hosting feature with Videopress, just upload your video and they will convert it to web format for you, they also accept HD high definition video.

Those feature above are add-on basis, if you think you need that feature, you pay extra.

Typepad

Typepad is a professional blog service provider, if you are really serious about blogging, want to have a professional blog site, beautiful blog design template, want to sell your distant healing service or ebook, or simply want to earn passive income with the easiest functionality, choose this one.

They have almost what blogger and Wordpress can provide you, like widgets, unlimited storage, use your own domain name, easy publishing navigation, block spam, podcast, and better support. You even you can publish your blog through your mobile phone like iphone.

Typepad also provide you with their own advertising program, so you can use their services to earn extra income if you want by simply linking it up with your Paypal account.

They also have build in SEO tools, that’s mean people more easier to find your site through search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN.

Of course, things come with a price, if you are willing to spend some little cash, and exchange for the features above. Then you might consider for Typepad.

Website or Blog Site?

If you are Lightworker, practicing Reiki, Tarot, Angel Card, Channelling, Vibrational Healing, Symbols, or any form of modalities, and would like to use internet to promote your modalities. Please read further.

First, you have to ask yourself, do you familiar with computer and internet skills. Yes or No

Second, Are you willing to engage and afford to pay web designer to design a website for you? Price range from $500 to $5000. Yes or No

Blog is one of the most simplest web site tool available on the internet, as long as you know how to use Office Word, you know how to use blog.

For website, you need some knowledge to use the Content Management System (CMS), what is CMS, it is a programming scripts that installed in your web hosting space, it help you publish your site content without knowing html and programming knowledge, of course there are some degree of learning curve on how to use a CMS.

Why not Static Site created by Dreamweaver or html editor? It is outdated.

Website also good for those who are seldom update their site content, but i will not encourage you if your site are “dead” with no frequent update, in a way you are just wasting your money on paying web hosting company.

Blog, in a way, like a diary, you can share about your healing experiences, your knowledge about what you learned, your perspective about spirituality to your existing clients, or prospect client, and the world.

You need to show your experiences and wisdom in your blog, this will help you to gain rapport and connection with people who are reading your site. Personal experiences about healing always help to promote your new age business, so don’t just say how good is your healing tools or your services, show off some real results about your past clients and how good for yourself, practically.

Of course, respect your clients privacy and use a fake name, gender and change a bit of background instead if you can’t get your client approval. DO NOT make up a fake story to promote yourself and it will incur discordant KARMA!

If you are serious about promoting your new age business and helping others from what you know, you need to dedicate some times to your blog, you need to write at least 2 posts a week in your blog.

If you can’t, no time for blogging, then don’t create a blog, use website instead.

Tips, no fat dream and thought of you going to have thousands of people visiting your site daily when you are just started a blog, in reality,  you need time to build up the content and traffic, you need time to promote your blogs too, just like raising a baby, your blog site need time to grow up. Of course building up your blog with love and optimistic instead of negative thoughts. Prayer and affirmation will help

Why Lightworker Need a Domain Name and how to Promote Yourself with it?

Domain Name like www.darreckchen.com is a name to represent yourself or your business, if you are selling yourself; for example, a Reiki practitioner Yoga teacher or healer etc, for the marketing and branding purpose, then i will suggest to put your name instead of something generic like reiki-healing.com.

Why?
